While you may be tempted to celebrate their special month or year by getting a rabbit just remember that a bunny is a commitment, not a live toy to be discarded when you lose interest. Spice, Zoe, and Gwendolyn would like to take this time to remind you not to purchase a rabbit on impulse. Bringing a bunny into your home is a big decision. Your bunny should be spayed or neutered, live indoors with you and your family, can be trained to use a litter box, needs love, exercise, daily interaction and a healthy diet. The worst life a rabbit can have is one where he or she is ignored.
Heartland bunnies are spayed and neutered, live indoors, are under no circumstances allowed to breed and we do not adopt baby rabbits, EVER.
We wish that your Year of the Rabbit be prosperous and if you do decide to adopt a bunny, do your research and please adopt from a rescue. Hope you have a very Hoppy and love filled Valentines Day.

Beautiful photos! Thanks for all you guys do for all the furry people you care for. I hope many of them will get their loving forever homes this year.
Three knockouts with an important message...Hoppy Valentines day to them...and you too Christina...and everyone else. :-)
kinda hard to breed once spayed/neutered, no?
Laughingwolf-the point to that comment is we do have bunnies that for health reasons cannot be spayed or neutered therefore they are not permitted to breed nor will they ever be adopted. We also get calls asking for baby rabbits all the time. One of the goals of the rescue is not only to take care of and provide homes for unwated rabbits but to educate people.
Good words and work! Happy Valentines from all the bunns at The House of aAbbits - and the people too.
Wonderful message and lovely pictures.
Awwww, the cuties!!! Still makes my eyes tear up when I see their pictures!
