Womackland impressions

I decided to copy Andrea's work. This morning I was out trying to get photos of the hummingbirds (no luck, they are too fast) and pictures of the "yard boss" who is a mockingbird that runs the show around here. No luck with her either but this is what I came up with. By the way, I never planted sunflowers. The squirrels and cardinals did it.

Oh, Christina, how pretty!! How refreshing to come in from hot sticky work outside and view these lovely garden pictures. We feed our song birds on the gravel driveway. The cars give the little ones some protection from the predator birds and from the elements. A sunflower came up in the gravel and I water it. But the little cottontails are nibbling away at it. Thank you for sharing the lovely flower pictures.

Hi Christina, the pictures are just wonderful! I LOVE flowers. The first picture is a hydrangea, right? I have a pink one, and it is about to get its second blooms. Wonderful flowers. Same here with the sunflowers - I suspect they were planted by our squirrel family. I don't even like them much, because they grow so huge that I have taken to calling them my sunflower trees.
I like Womackland!!

Andrea,
Thanks, I love flowers too. I plant like crazy in the spring. The first pic is a Lantana (with a butterfly having lunch. The reason I like the sunflower is because it is a tough plant. It can survive in harsh conditions and still be beautiful. See Jeannie comments above about it growing through a crack in her driveway. Orange blooms are my favorite.
