Now, I don't speak fluent Equus asinus, but the little bit I've been able to pick up over the past seven years living with these honkey donkeys makes me think the conversation centered around food. They are food motivated. (well, so am I, but that's neither here nor there.) They plot in ways that an unsuspecting volunteer carrying carrots through the gate would not forsee. whisper, "I'll make a mad dash under the gate and into the pasture and Andrea will drop all the carrots to run and save me from you trampling me. Then you grab the bag of carrots and I'll meet you at the tree. Cool! Let's synchronize our watches."
I do believe Miss Molly was probably inquiring of Hannah if she had any carrots. I would imagine she could smell carrots on her breath. I am very pleased to see Miss Hannah being so brave as to talk with another species. What an adorable picture.
Molly is a bit greedy about the carrots, and every other kind of treatie, for that matter. :) Christina, although Hannah has her courtyard back, she has stayed in her crate so far. I plan to work on their indoor playground tomorrow. That should help bring her back out of her shell.
I imagine there's a fair bit of gossip going around too. Who's got a crush on who, who's been fighting, whose house got rearranged by the humans that NEVER put anything in the right place, etc. Something like "As the Bunny World Turns" or "The Buns and the Beautiful"
ha ha ha ha, great soaps for the buns Lindsay! Yep...watching soaps would be a favorite pastime of the buns. Much gossiping and poking noses, literally, into eachother's playpens/business. And oh the flirting! Gwendy is the only one who doesn't object to this. She's too young to understand yet that she's been insulted, or something. Cowboy was roaming around in there today and poked his sweet face right into hers. No agression from her. She watches the others with wide eyes and much excitement. He wandered off quickly to another row and I heard a ruckus as he startled someone. "Oh, please don't do anything to get a stampede started Cowboy!! I just swept."

Haha ... that's hilarious! Where does Midnight come into the equation? Or are they relying on him being too lovesick to notice the plot??
Good question! Correct you are.... Midnight is on a mission of his own and food is only a passing thought.
