Winter Wonderland

The weathermen were right this time. The blizzard of Christmas '09 hit hard and fast. The snow started coming down at midday and now at dark is still coming down - horizontally. The snow is beautiful, the 50 mph wind is not. We wish you all a very Merry, and warm, Christmas.

You, Brad, Molly, Judy, Midnight, Tag, birdies and bunnies have a good Christmas and be very careful going to the warrens. I will go to sleep thinking of them: warm, safe and loved (and the yummy nana's they will have on Christmas morning)

Christina, the thoughts you had of them all warm almost wasn't the case. When we got up yesterday morning the clocks were flashing, which meant the power had been off. Then around 9:00a.m. the power went off again. Forty-five minutes later I was in panick mode and trying to figure out how to transport all the bunnies 35 miles to your house. :) However, OEC got us up and running again. Those dudes braved some dangerous conditions to get us power again. What a day.

I was wondering how you guys were doing in the storm. We have about a 3 foot drift of snow piled up on our front porch & sidewalk, the back is more like 2 feet.

Does anyone have a #!@!#$% snow shovel? :)

Yes, I have a snow shovel Layla....but it will take all day, maybe two, to drive the 30 miles between our houses with it. Try tossing the contents of used litter from the bunnies' litter boxes on the sidewalk. The urine would act like salt. Plus, the bunny urine will attract the neighborhood dogs and cats and they will be prompted to add theirs too. And before you know it - voila! a clear sidewalk (albeit slighty odorous). tee hee.

Thank you for the encouragement R G. We are staying calm. Stoney is a good soldier, never leaves his post.

Benji's post was so funny. Great pictures.
