BEN

Some of you who read the blog have never met little Ben. I had the privileged of being with him only twice before he went to the bridge. He struck me and stayed in my heart. He was the smallest bunny I have ever seen. Maybe that was part of it. I have figured out why he hit me so hard. His little face struggling to breathe reminded me of my dear brother Forrest who sounded just like Ben when he tried to get his breath. I struggle to keep my emotions under control when I visit Heartland but the blog is a perfect place to let them run a little. Ben was a sweet, tiny little buns whom I will miss a great deal. He reminds me of the fragility of life and the huge impact some creatures make on us. I will think of him often as I will also think of the others that have left recently, Sweet Pea and Wilma. They were special as well. All of the Heartland bunnies are special to me. Godspeed on your journey to the bridge babies.

We won!!!!!

With this picture and its story, exclusively written by Simon "Littlefeet" Galbusieri himself, Simon and Dandi won the most wonderful treat basket from Leith Petwerks.

Unfortunately, the stinkers wouldn't let me take a single good pictures with their new toys, but let me tell you, they love digging in the hay and flinging the toys all over the living room ... check those toys out for yourself at http://www.leithpetwerks.com/. Dandi especially recommends the Palm Shred-N-Toss Toy (with emphasis on SHRED):

A biiiiiiig bunny hug to the great folks at Leith Petwerks and especially to Amy. Maybe, just maybe, Simon will let you touch him for a second now ... hehe ...

Rearranging

So, mama got up this morning and messed up all the covers, so I had to fix them. I like to sleep between those pillows you see there, but the blankets have to be just right. If you listen close, you can hear my brother, Dude, running through the blinds. It's his morning exercise routine. I prefer to sleep in.

(Sorry the video's so dark. You can't see how handsome I am in the morning. Mama is not very skilled with that recording thingy.)
