Becoming Texas Bunnies

Hello to everyone on the Heartland Bunny Blog. This is my first attempt to try to post a blog, so the format may be a little wierd.
Here are a few pictures of Rhoda and Joey in the back yard of their new home.

Andrea was wondering where I purchased the tent. It came from Target.

We made our first visit to the vet last week for a routine checkup. Joey is 5 lbs and Rhoda is 5.25 lbs. She thinks they are both healthy but Joey needs a little more exercise to tone up. He has been going outside in the evenings to play "Texas Ranger" in the backyard.

Here is a picture of their indoor home made by my husband.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Snuggle Sweet Honeymoon

Its not a trip to Hawaii or Niagra Falls, but its still a honeymoon to remember. Congratulations Joey and Rhoda! (sorry about the playpen wire - we grab a picture when we can)

Is THIS Close Enough.....?

They don't like the cameras do they? Joey is so cute, and his pictures DO project his personality. We have many, many pictures of him in our picture file. But I wanted some more of him and his new bride, Rhoda. I just love the basket picture of them (wish the playpen hadn't been in the way) We had a lovely couple who were interested in adopting a bonded pair come out to visit us yesterday. They adopted Joey and Rhoda. Rhoda is shy and sweet. Joey is a bold comedian. Both enjoy the affection (and of course the treaties) from people. I envy the new bunny parents of the laughter they will enjoy. No shortage of laughter here though. We have many 4 footed comics here that keep us well within our dmrol (daily minimum requirement of laughter). I think research proved that we need a minimum of four episodes of laughter a day, right?

A Putter in the Basket

Although it is cold, windy, and generally yucky in Oklahoma these days, we have already had a few nice spring days where the bunnies could be out in the yard. When it was time to go back inside, Putter was in the process of fervently digging in his basket. He was very indignant when Jeannie seized the opportunity to pick him up ...

Joey was equally put out when I told him it was time to back to the warren as you can tell by his look.

Yes, that baby DOES have ears; he just really, really didn't approve of the situation...
