Heartland Rabbit Rescue proudly presents the adoptable bunny of the month ... (drumroll)...

ALLEN

His sparkling dark eyes and long eyelashes are just a couple of the many charms that Allen boosts. You can't help but reach out and stroke his beautiful frost colored fur. He loves being petted and goes flat as a pancake at the slightest indication of a backrub in his future. Given his softer side, he's also a lively boy who's interested in everything that is going on around him and loves his playtime. In the play yard, if one of the other bunnies does a leap through the air, he will respond in kind. Joy is contagious and he's not shy in passing it on. His ears are often cocked, one forward and one facing back, so that he doesn't miss anything. Allen is a happy adventurous guy who knows how to have a good time. If you happen to look at life through rose colored glasses, too, then Allen would like to visit with you!

As you will see, Allen LOVES to investigate empty baskets, wooden bridges ...

"Pssst, dude, look at that ... there she is again with that flashing thing staring right at us. My advice to you: hide behind that wooden bridge!

Strange guy! Doesn't move a paw. Maybe he's frozen scared? Hey, dude, don't worry - she won't hurt you! She's just really annoying, that's all ...

I bet she can't see me under here ...

What is she laughing about now? Huh, turban...? What?

Ha! Now she's laying in the grass ... haha, my turn to laugh (or at least condescendingly smirk) ... lady, you ain't never gonna fit in here, but, please, do try!"

And all that was heard from the surrounding playpens were snotty bunny snickers ...

Visiting the grandparents!

On Saturday we got to visit our grandparents for the first time. Their house was SO HUGE. I ran around for hours and got really tired. After a short nap I delved farther into the belly of the beast. I discovered a room that looked like a forest! I tried to eat a leaf but it didn't taste good. Lucky for me the locals were very nice...and fuzzy.

Ally discovered the main plaza where everyone meets.

She even met a distant relative. Separated at birth? I had to look into this further.

Hmmm. Can I trust this panda guy? If he's anything like Ally he might try to steal my pellets!

No, I'm not stuck!

Aren't these concrete blocks wonderful places? Let's see if I can't squeeze myself into one of them. Hmmm, yes, see how well I fit? I told you I am a very petite and slender girl. Do you think my angora haircut makes me look big??

Blowing in the Wind

Our action duo, well... in action, braving the Oklahoma elements. While Isa is relatively unfazed, Wuschelman seems a bit annoyed, but is bravely defying the gusty winds sweeping over the Great Plains:

Pretty soon, however, Wuschi discovers the aerodynamics, and uses the wind as propelling force for racing around the yard ... faster than the wind:
